Booking requests: approve, taken times and expired links
3 min read
Approve a request
When you approve a request, Clinid checks your patients for a match. If it finds one, it shows Might already be on file. Choose Use this record so you do not create a second record for the same person.
For a new patient, Clinid needs a date of birth and sex to create the patient record, even when the booking form left them out. Ask the patient if you do not have them.
Messages patients may see when booking
This appointment slot is no longer available: someone else booked that time.
This time can no longer be booked: the time has passed, or is sooner than your booking notice allows.
This time is too far ahead to book: the time is further out than you take bookings.
In each case the patient can pick another time.
To change how far ahead or how soon patients can book, see Booking rules: limit how far ahead patients can book.
Appointment link has expired
Links in appointment emails stop working after a while. If the appointment was already cancelled or moved, the link says This appointment is no longer open. Patients can contact the practice or book again.
